Storm Shadow is from an old ninja clan that, together he and Snake Eyes studied the secret art of Ninjitsu with Storm Shadow’s family. His uncle and mentor was murdered by Cobra which is the reason why he infiltrated Cobra in hopes of seeking revenge. But eventually, he realized that seeking revenge will not bring back his uncle.

Storm Shadow’s real name is Thomas S. Arashikage, he is most well-known as Cobra Commander’s bodyguard and assassin but he is known to have switched sides several times because of his conflicted loyalty between Cobra, GI Joe and his friend Snake Eyes. Storm Shadow is usually seen to be wearing a white ninja uniform and a white mask.

He now lives in semi-retirement in remote mountain hideaway and occasionally takes up missions from Snake Eyes. Together he and Snake Eyes have this unique bond with each other, they have been the bitterest of enemies and also the most loyal friends.
